NEW MADRID - Charles Lee Williams, 63, died May 24, 2007, at his sister's home.

Born Aug. 29, 1943, in Lilbourn, to Renet Williams of New Madrid and the late Charles Lee Williams, he attended LaForge and O'Bannon Schools and was employed as a farmer for many years.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son, Darryl Pruitt of Bonne Terre; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Treasa and Regional Blunt, Demetrice and Tyree Petty and Sonia Williams of Milwaukee and Yvonne and Frank Bellom and Vickie Williams of Chicago; two brothers, Theodis Malbtia and Richard Lee Wills of New Madrid; two sisters, Jeanette Proctor of Peoria Ill. and Dorothy Ross of New Madrid; and 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shearlene White and Ruthie Williams.

Services were held Sunday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid, with Leotis Aikens, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Tyree Patton, Frank Bellmon, Marlon Malbtia, Ronnie Ross, Kafern Williams and Terrell Williams.

Carter Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
