CHARLESTON - Nellie Stallings, 97, died at 4:05 a.m. May 28, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 18, 1909, in Marshall County, Ky., to the late Mose and Sara Elizabeth Holley Feezor, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston.
On Feb. 15, 1928, she married Marshall Oliver Stallings, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1993.
One son, John Oliver Stallings; one daughter, Ruth Moore; two brothers, Marshall Feezor and Lawrence Feezor; and three sisters, Fannie Green, Mildred Cheatham and Susie Barch, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd and Marilyn Stallings and Martin and Cora Sue Stallings of Charleston; four daughters and sons-in-
law, Evelyn and Delbert Pruitt and Carol and Joe Knudson of Paducah, Ky., Shirley and Bill Anderson of Charleston and Mary and Larry Drummond of LaCenter, Ky.; and 19 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. One son-in-law, John W. Moore of Charleston, also survives.
Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Charleston with the Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
