Your view: Don't condemn rich
Monday, September 25, 2006
In a 9/17/06 letter Anne Bethune states George Bush, at a white tie dinner, said "I call you the haves and have-mores. Some people call you the elite; I call you my base."
Where and when was this dinner held? Who was there? What is the source of this information?
Why is it important to point out this dinner took place (if it did)?
Making a blanket statement and spinning it to sound negative does not make the statement a fact.
Besides, who cares if he is at a white tie dinner with "rich" people? With some exceptions most rich people have worked harder and smarter than the rest. They should be the examples people strive to emulate, not condemn.
Thank you.
