PORTLAND, Texas -- Naomia Loucretia Smith, 100, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., died April 30, 2007, at Christus Spohn Hospital at Corpus Christi. Born May 14, 1906, in Oran, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Dora Loucretia Lyon Davenport. PORTLAND, Texas -- Naomia Loucretia Smith, 100, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., died April 30, 2007, at Christus Spohn Hospital at Corpus Christi.

Born May 14, 1906, in Oran, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Dora Loucretia Lyon Davenport. A retired grade school teacher of Chaffee Public Schools, she was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 48 in Chaffee.

On April 1, 1939, she married the Rev. Liston Smith who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1984.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and James Wehmeyer of Portland; and two grandchildren, John Michael Andreozzi of Johnston, R.I., and James Robert Wehmeyer of San Marcos.

Visitation is at 3:30 p.m. today, with an Eastern Star Service at 6 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Cliff Day officiating.

Burial will follow in Friend Cemetery in Oran.
