SIKESTON - Don E. Kellett, 75, died May 1, 2007, at his office in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 8, 1931, in Sikeston, son of the late Ernest S. and Reta Mainord Kellett, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston for over 40 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as an artillery instructor during the Korean War, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and owned and operated Kellett Oil Company for nearly 50 years.
On Dec. 22, 1952, at Piggott, Ark., he married Mary York who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Sandy Gordon of Lynchburg, Tenn., and Tonya Kellett of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Jerry Kellett and Larry Kellett of Sikeston; one sister, Janice Whitehead of Memphis, Tenn.; his stepmother, Thelma Kellett of Sikeston; one grandchild; and a special friend, Danny Marshall of Bertrand.
One brother, Argil Kellett, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Ed Pangburn and the Rev. Mary McCord, pastor, will officiate.
Internment will be private.
