Jerome Weems

EAST PRAIRIE -- Jerome Weems, 54, died at midnight Aug. 12, 2007, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 30, 1952, in the Bement Community to Julie Mallie Carlyle Weems of the home and the late William Thomas Weems, he lived in East Prairie most of his life, where he attended the Full Gospel Church.

Survivors in addition to his mother include five brothers and three sisters-in-

law, Junior Weems and Roger Weems of the home, Jerry and Peggy Weems and Mike and Monica Weems, all of Benton, and Gary and Ann Weems of Tocca, Ga.; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Mike Cartwright of Matthews; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

One brother, Billy Weems, preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Mike Johnson and Mike Cartwright officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
