FENTON - Granvel Marcus "Bud" Cogdill, 83, formerly of East Prairie, died at 10 p.m. Aug. 8, 2007, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.
Born May 6, 1924, at Williford, Ark., to the late James F. and Roxa Muriel Cannon Cogdill, he had lived most of his life in the St. Louis area where he was employed with a paper factory until his retirement and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
On May 2, 1953, he married Mary Ann Krsul who preceded him in death on March 31, 2001.
One brother, James Muriel Cogdill, and one sister, Helen Mildred Cogdill, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Mark Allen Cogdill of St. Louis; one brother, Obrey Cogdill of East Prairie; two sisters, Janet Brooks of East Prairie and Laverne Kimbrell of Radcliff, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Ernest Brown of Wickliffe, Ky. will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
