BLOOMFIELD -- Dorthia Lee Rogers, 81, died Feb. 20, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born Jan. 3, 1926, at Essex, daughter of the late James and Nora Tennyson Trotter, she was a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church at Idalia. BLOOMFIELD -- Dorthia Lee Rogers, 81, died Feb. 20, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 3, 1926, at Essex, daughter of the late James and Nora Tennyson Trotter, she was a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church at Idalia. She had worked at Elder Manufacturing Co. and for many years she and her husband owned and operated Rogers Phillips 66 Station in Bloomfield.

On Dec. 19, 1942, she married Floyd Rogers who preceded her in death on March 17, 2001.

One daughter, Joyce Ann Rogers; one brother, Dick Trotter; and one sister, Eva Wheeler, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, James Rogers of Bloomfield; one daughter, Janet Conner of Bloomfield; three sisters, Delphia Duckworth of Essex, Lucille Henson of Bloomfield and Barbara Shipman of Fairdealing; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Revs. Dan Sitz and Jimmy Trotter officiated.

Burial followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
