CARUTHERSVILLE - One person is in custody for the shooting death of a Pemiscot County man.
Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell said his officers were notified of a shooting at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday in Bragg City.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they found the victim, who had been shot in the stomach. He was taken to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A suspect was taken to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, where he was questioned and confessed the shooting, Greenwell said.
Charges are expected to be filed today by Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney Mike Hazel.
