SPRINGFIELD - Elwanda C. Wyatt Mattingly Shoemaker, 75, formerly of Portageville, died Dec. 23, 2006, in Cox South Hospital at Springfield.
Born Nov. 24, 1931, at Portageville, she retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 42 years and was a member of the Fremont Baptist Church in Springfield.
She is survived by two brothers, Doyle Lafferty and James Wyatt; three sisters, Connie Russell, Barbara Pruitt and Sandra Lineberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Minnie Jones Wyatt; and her husband, Robert Mattingly.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Portageville Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North of Springfield.
