SCOTT CITY - Virginia Mae Wylder, 79, died at 6:35 a.m. Dec. 26, 2006, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 11, 1927, in St. Louis, to the late Otto Charles and Rosiena Philemena Zoellner Heisserer, she was a housewife and had worked as a machine operator at Elk Walker Factory in Scott City.

On Oct. 24, 1942, in Benton, she married Everett Harold Wylder, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1975.

One brother also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: four daughters and three sons-in-law, Pat and Bobby LeDure of Commerce, Joyce and Joe Smith of Scott City, Wilma and Lonnie Stubenrauch of Advance and Judy Menz of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
