Ruth Black
DEXTER -- Ruth Louise Black, 75, died April 9, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born April 26, 1931, in Arwarel, Ark., daughter of the late Ivan and Ruth Louise Paris Kirkman, she had lived all her life in the Dexter area where she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
On June 4, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert R. Black who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Ricky L. Black of Rolla, Ronnie U. Black of Bloomfield and Wayne K. Black of Moberly; two daughters, Mary K. Sander of Sikeston and Trisha L. Sanders of Dexter; four sisters, Joann Burleson and Sharon L. Kirkman of Dexter Nellie Stewart of Rolla and Susan Murphy of Jefferson City; and 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nelda J. Black; and three brothers, Charles Kirkman, Frankie Kirkman and Jackie Kirkman.
Graveside were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter. Dale Grissom of Dexter officiated.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
