MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Darrell Byard and Leslie Byard, both of Memphis, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Byard, to Jason Idleman, son of Lynn and T.J. Feeler of Sikeston, Mo., and the late John D. Idleman.
A 2001 graduate of Cumberland University with a Master of Arts in education, the future bride is employed as a fifth and sixth grade special needs teacher at Treadwell Elementary School in Memphis.
The prospective bridegroom attended the University of Kentucky and Rhodes College in Springfield, Mo. He is a professional chef opening his own establishment in Memphis.
Plans are being finalized for a June 16 wedding at The Palm Court at Overton Square in Memphis.
