SENATH - Goldie Louella Thompson, 81, passed away Dec. 12, 2006, at Miner Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 22, 1925, in Arbyrd, she was the daughter of the late David and Josephine Abernathy Lincoln.
On March 18, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Joe Thompson, who preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2003.
One son, Douglas Thompson, three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Claudia Cain of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Keith Bateman of Sikeston; one daughter-in-law, Pam Thompson of Senath; two sisters, Mary Crump of Fisk and Bernita Davenport of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Ronnie Cain, Christy Bentley, Latasha Hauptman, Joe Don Thompson, Ryan Bateman and Aaron Bateman; and one great-grandchild, Trenton Thompson.
Funeral services were Saturday at McDaniel Funeral Chapel in Senath. The Revs. Doug Clinton and Joe McCullough officiated.
Burial followed in Memorial Gardens at Kennett.
Pallbearers were: Joe Don Thompson, Joel Jones, Ryan Bateman, Jeremy Hauptman, Gary Lynn Newman and Aaron Bateman.
