Jim Hunter

HUNTERVILLE, N.C. -- James Digges "Boone" Hunter, 42, formerly of New Madrid, Mo., died March 12, 2007, at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1964, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Marie Householder Hunter of New Madrid and the late John Alfred Hunter, he was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and an information technician for IBM Corp.

On Sept. 11, 1991, in St. Louis, he married Susan Hyland who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Samantha Marie Hunter and Alexandria Rachel Hunter of the home; three brothers: John A. Hunter Jr. of St. Louis, Tom Hunter, stationed at Kabul, Afghanistan, and Shap R. Hunter IV of Thebes, Ill.; and one sister, Leann Hunter Branum of New Madrid.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid. The Rev. Randy Tochtrop will officiate.
