DELTA -- Ruby J. Dykes, 86, died at 10:55 a.m. Feb. 3, 2007, at her home.

Born Dec. 12, 1920, in Logan County, Ark., daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Nettie Brown Eskew, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Delta.

On Nov. 14, 1942, she married Ira B. Dykes who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Roger H. Dykes of Jackson; two daughters, Carol Ann Gay of Folsom, Calif., and Pamela Kay Powell of Jackson; two brothers, the Rev. Jimmy E. Eskew of Morley and Robert Eskew of Sedgewickville; two sisters, Velma Farr of Redding, Calif., and Jean Wilkerson of California, Mo.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dan Baggett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
