ORAN - Leo Wylie Curtis, 94, died at 8 a.m. Oct. 15, 2006, at his home.
Born Jan. 10, 1912, in Johnson County, Ark., he was the son of the late Jessie and Idella Breedlove Curtis. Retiring in 1988, he was a self-employed farmer.
On Oct. 25, 1933, in Hagarville, Ark., he married Newell Mary Michelson who preceded him in death on April 3, 1962. He married Wilma Cousins McGowen on Aug. 7, 1963, and she preceded him in death on July 4, 1996.
Survivors include: one son, Clarence W. Curtis of Oran; three daughters, Juanita Smith of Russellville, Ark., Cleda Neal of Oran and Frieda DeWalsche of Port Byron, Ill.; one brother, Kenneth D. Curtis of McAlester, Okla.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Delbert Bishop will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Monte DeWalsche, Frederick Neal, Charles Smith, I.W. Owen, David Curtis and Joshua Curtis.
