Pierce - 50th

ESSEX -- Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Dale Pierce will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. April 21 during a reception in the Family Life Center at the First Baptist Church, 1012 N. Main. St., in Sikeston.

Pierce and the former Joyce Lee Moring were married April 26, 1957, in Sikeston and are members of First Baptist Church. He is the son of the late Archie Grant and Mary Jane Minker Pierce, a graduate of Grayridge High School and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for McDonnell Aircraft and owns and operates the family farm near Grayridge.

Mrs. Pierce is the daughter of the late Arthur and Mattie Lee McConnell Moring and a graduate of Sikeston High School. She has worked for Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston for over 30 years.

The couple are the parents of six children and their spouses, Sheila and Bob Clark of Altus, Okla.; Donald Pierce of Florida; Pam and Vernon Knuckles of Sikeston; Cyndi and Trevor Rifkin of Duluth, Ga.; Patricia and Mike Garner of Sikeston; and Jeffrey and Corey Pierce of Vacaville, Calif. They are the grandparents of 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
