DEXTER - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson will hear from Southern Missouri producers about the many issues Congress will confront in the upcoming re-

authorization of the Farm Bill during an Agriculture Roundtable Monday in Dexter.

"The Farm Bill is critical, stabilizing legislation for our region. No one in any other sector of our economy is faced with the combined, severe uncertainties of prices, market conditions and weather like our farmers and ranchers are. It is the only business in which you buy inputs at retail prices in order to sell your product at wholesale prices. A strong Farm Bill has a positive effect on our entire rural community," Emerson said.

The Farm Bill Roundtable is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at The Armory, which is located on Highway 114 in Dexter. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
