SIKESTON -- Melissa Pauline Wise and Simon Chardin Dirnberger were united in marriage during a 4 p.m. ceremony Nov. 3, 2006, at The Fairmont Banff Springs, situated on the banks of the scenic Bow River and cradled by the heart of the Canadian Rockies in the Banff National Forest, Alberta, Canada.

Parents of the bride are Paul and Pat Wise of Sikeston, and the bridegroom is the son of Bernard and Beverly Dirnberger of Cape Girardeau.

The new Mrs. Dirnberger received a Bachelor of Science with a double major in marketing/management and office administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. Dirnberger earned mechanical and metallurgical engineering degrees from the University of Missouri in Rolla as well as an associate's degree in aviation maintenance from Kansas State University. He is employed by American Airlines as an engineer in Tulsa, Okla.

The couple honeymooned at The Fairmont Banff Springs, where they participated in a three-day "Murder Mystery Weekend" production. They are making their home in Tulsa.
