SIKESTON - Robert "Bob" Wefenstette, 74, formerly of Fulton, died Dec. 15, 2006, at his home.

Born Sept. 12, 1932, in Columbia, son of the late Emmitt P. and Frankie Bullard Wefenstette, he owned and operated Bob's 66 Service Station near Millersburg for many years and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

On Dec. 23, 1951, he was first married to Betty Jean Craighead. On June 4, 1993, he married Pamela Lowes, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Guy and Karen Wefenstette of Fulton and Robert Wefenstette and Jerome and Tronda Lowes of Columbia; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sherilyn and Dennis Russell of Millersburg, Kimberlee Mealy of Russellville, Ark. and Sandra Vaughn of Columbia; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, one son, Jeffrey Wefenstette preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Bruce Williamson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston was in charge of local arrangements.
