CLAYTON -- Stephanie Marie Matthews and William Nicholas Lillios Jr. were united in marriage during a 5:30 p.m. ceremony Oct. 1, 2005, at St. Michael and St. George Episcopal Church in Clayton. The Rev. Michael Blewitt performed the ceremony. Tim Allan was the organist for the occasion.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Marie and Robert Scott Matthews Jr. of Sikeston. Parents of the bridegroom are William Nicholas and Amy Leah Card Lillios of Cleveland, Tenn.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless dress of silk satin. The bodice and hem were adorned with matching pearl and crystal beadwork. Covered buttons extended from the back throughout the train of the dress. The bride also wore a tiara decorated with matching pearls and crystals and a double-layered veil. She carried a bouquet of white mini calla lilies, hydrangeas and freesia.
Maid of honor was Suzanne Elizabeth Matthews, of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Leah Card Lillios of Nashville, sister of the bridegroom, Sarah Elizabeth Anderson, of Charlotte, N.C., Danielle Robin Lorrigan of Durango, Colo., and Jennifer Rebecca Bass of Columbia. Flower girl was Riley O'Brien, daughter of Debbie and Jeff O'Brien of Japan. They wore autumn red strapless A-line dresses made of silk shantung with sunset gold sashes at the waist. They carried bouquets made of mini mango calla lilies.
Serving as best man was Joseph Young McCoin III of Cleveland. Groomsmen were Jason Michael Shelton, Richard Donald Johnson III, Michael Joseph Tighe III and Robert Glenn Card III, all of Cleveland.
Attending the guest book were twin cousins of the bride, Jennifer Nicole Nedilnycky and Michelle Lynn Nedilnycky.
A reception for the couple was held at Saint Louis Artist's Guild at Oak Knoll Park.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at the Whittemore House on the campus of Washington University in Clayton.
A graduate of Saint Mary's Hall in San Antonio and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, the bride is the owner of Gumby's Pizza in Columbia.
The bridegroom graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and is currently a real estate owner/developer.
Following a honeymoon to Cayman Brac, the new Mr. and Mrs. Lillios are making their home in Cleveland.
