James Spivey

WEST COVINA, Calif. -- James C. Spivey Sr., 79, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Aug. 24, 2006, in West Covina.

Born June 25, 1927, he was the son of the late Armel and Jewel Ralph Spivey.

His wife, Carmen Spivey, preceded him in death.

One son, James C. Spivey Jr., also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three sons and three daughters-in-law, Gary and Jeanne Spivey, Lorretta Spivey, Bob and Phyllis Caro, and Steve Caro of the state of California; two brothers, Louis Spivey of Sikeston and Junior Spivey of the state of Georgia; two sisters, Sandra Weston of Killeen, Texas, and Linda Herzog of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and six grandchildren and six great-

grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 7 at Custer Christiansen in West Covina.
