BLOOMFIELD - Martha Elizabeth Cooper, 96, died Feb. 12, 2006, in the Golden Living Center at Bloomfield.
Born March 10, 1910, in Stoddard County, to the late Ira and Bessie Crane Thompson, she was a lifelong resident of Stoddard County and a member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia.
In 1935, she married Lonnie Kelley, who preceded her in death in January 1986. In 1961, she married Ralph Cooper who preceded her in death in 1983.
Three sisters, Sina Layton, May Cates and Ethel Wasson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Farrel and Ramona Kelly of Bloomfield and Clinton and Laverne Kelly of Dexter; two brothers, Gilbert Thompson and Thurman Thompson; one sister, Bernice Dutton of Dexter; and one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, three stepgrandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Dan Sitz will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
