DEXTER - Muriel Joy McQuary, 72, died Sept. 3, 2006, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter.

Born April 9, 1934, near Parma, daughter of Anza Gregory Henderson of Dexter and the late Ray Bennett Henderson, she spent many years in Malden and moved back to Dexter in 1980 where she attended the First United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 24, 1950, in Dexter, she married Clarence "Froggie" Kilmer. He preceded her in death in 1975. On Feb. 20, 1991, in Piggott, Ark., she married Dwight McQuary who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Karen Hoehn and Sharon Deen of Malden, Judy Leet of Eureka and Joanie Greer of Bella Vista, Ark.; three stepsons, Mark McQuary and David McQuary of Tallahassee, Fla., and John McQuary of the state of Hawaii; one sister, Caryl Clippard of Dexter; and six grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Henderson.

Services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Louie Lowe of Dexter officiated.

Burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
