Clara Magee
CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Clara Blanche "Mollie" Magee, 89, died Sept. 16, 2006, at the Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 11, 1917, at Aquilla, daughter of the late William and Althea Cox Capps, she was of the Baptist belief. She and her husband owned Fibber and Mollie's Cafe in Bloomfield and operated two grocery stores in Avert. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1964 and retired from Rust and Martin Drapery Department in 1980.
On July 5, 1936, she married Norman I. Magee who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1987.
Two brothers, one sister and one grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Don Magee of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Elaine Choate of Scott City and Carol Vandiver of Bloomfield; and eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
