Terry Scroggins

BLOOMFIELD -- Terry Scroggins, 46, died Sept. 18, 2006, at his home.

Born March 7, 1960, in Sikeston, son of Margaret Ellis Scroggins Baker of Bloomfield and the late Jessie Lee Scroggins, he had lived for many years in Dexter before moving to Bloomfield in 1996. He was a diesel mechanic and had worked for Allied Waste and Dexter Transport.

On Jan. 13, 1995, in Dexter, he married Lottie Layton who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two stepsons, Christopher Layton and Michael Layton of Bloomfield; two brothers, Garry Scroggins of Dexter and Barry Scroggins of Jackson; two sisters, Marilyn Scroggins and Sandra Prunty of Dexter; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-18 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with James Malloy of Essex officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
