David Cummins
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - David Lowell Cummins, 69, formerly of Advance, Mo., died Sept. 16, 2006, at Barnes Jewish Hospital West in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Oct. 29, 1936, at Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late Albert "Lowell" and Sevella Jennings Cummins, he was of the Protestant belief. In 1992, he retired from the Bank of Advance, where he served as president, after 23 years of service.
On July 14, 1983, at Cape Girardeau, he married Wanda Lee Richards who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Jo David Cummins of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one stepson, Kenneth R. Carlton of Advance; one stepdaughter, Kristen Robins of Advance; two brothers, Jerry Cummins of Scott City, Mo., and Robert Cummins of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Gail Crader of Perryville, Mo.; six grandchildren, Cade Cummins, Gage Cummins, Austin Carlton, Autumn Burrows, Chase Robins and Dakota Robins; and one great-grandchild, Braylen Burrows.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Lance Carlton.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Spencer Cummins will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
