MCCLURE, Ill. - Walter Alfred Reimann, 92, died Sept. 17, 2006, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born June 23, 1914, in Egypt Mills, Mo., son of the late Charles and Dorothea Gerlach Reimann, he was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church for 61 years, a 1934 graduate of Cape Central where he played football, basketball and wrestled. He was in the National Guard and worked as an electrician for Missouri Utilities and Southwestern Bell. He farmed in McClure from 1947 to 1985 until his retirement and from 1960 to 1985, he served as commissioner for McClure Drainage District.

On May 6, 1939, in Chaffee, Mo., he married Mary E. Wiley who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Connie Reimann of Sikeston, Mo., Gary and Laura Reimann of Thebes and Bruce and Beth Reimann of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Ernest Reimann of Egypt Mills; one sister, Erma Betlock of St. Louis, Mo.; and five grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-

stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating.

Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
