CHARLESTON -- The Rev. Murry Williams Sr., 76, died Nov. 20, 2006, in Marietta, Ga.
Born July 28, 1930, in Lula, Miss., son of the late Johnny Lee and Mary McFadden Williams, he retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company in East Chicago, Ind., in 1982 and was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church of Charleston.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: three sons and one daughter-in-law, Murry Williams Jr. of Marietta, Benjamin and Jennifer Williams of Gary, Ind., and Kenneth Williams of Omaha, Neb.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Olivia Nightingale of Kennesaw, Ga., Julie and Marcus Taylor and Charlese and Darryl Graham of Gary and Ulett and Robert Benson of Fayetteville, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Melvin Williams will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
