NEW MADRID -- Geneva M. Safford, 100, died Nov. 9, 2006, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Feb. 25, 1906, in Tunica, Miss., daughter of the late Lou Allen and Mattie Foster McCoy, she was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid.
She was first married to J.H. McClinton who preceded her in death and later to Will Safford who also preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were one infant daughter; two brothers, L.M. McCoy and James McCoy; and one sister, Velma Riley.
Survivors include: one brother, William McCoy; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Leotis Atkins will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Fannie Powell Cemetery at New Madrid.
