Elizabeth Johnson

HOWARDVILLE - Elizabeth K. Johnson, 71, died Nov. 10, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 22, 1935, in Lilbourn, daughter of the late Bennie and Mattie Lee Greer, she was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and volunteered for Beverly Entripe, Kids Beat and the New Madrid County Resource Center Tutoring Program.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Gary and Douglas Gary of South Bend, Ind.; one daughter, Connie Willis of Elkhart, Ind.; three brothers, Arthur "B.A." Greer of Dallas and Alfonzo Greer and Bennie Jo Greer of Lilbourn; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brendy Greer; and three sisters, Patsy Jones, Liddia Marie Taylor and Anna Wilhite.

Funeral and burial services will be held Saturday in South Bend, Ind., by Alford's Funeral Home.

Williams Funeral Home of Howardville is in charge of local arrangements.
