BLOOMFIELD -- Delmer Dale Underwood, 59, died Nov. 13, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born July 14, 1947, at Bloomfield, son of Delmer and Imogene Underwood of Bloomfield, he lived his entire life in the Bloomfield community where he was a 1965 graduate of Bloomfield High School and a lifetime member of the Bloomfield AMVETS. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War for which he received the Bronze Star.
On July 16, 1988, he married Dian Northcutt who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Master Sgt. Scott Underwood of the U.S. Air Force, stationed at McDill Air Force Base at Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Erin Hendershot of Bedford, Ind.; two stepsons, James St. Cin and Bill Boening of Columbia; one stepdaughter, Cindy Foriester of Wappapello; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.
Burial will follow with full military rites in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
