Vada M. Bruce

BLOOMFIELD - Vada M. Bruce, 90, died June 13, 2006 at her home near Bloomfield.

Born Aug. 28, 1915, in McCalaster, Okla., daughter of the late Walter and May Moody Holman, she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

On Oct. 17, 1935, she was married to Onus Bruce, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1987.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters.

Survivors include: three sons; John Bruce and Ron Bruce of Bloomfield, and Don Bruce of Sikeston; two daughters, Jean McClure of Bloomfield and Bonnie Curry of Morehouse; three brothers, James Holman of Bloomfield and Sidney Holman and Leroy Holman of Festus; and 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. James Vent will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
