BUTLER -- The Rev. Joe Bob Woodiel, 73, died Sept. 18, 2006, in Kansas City.

Born Sept. 4, 1932, in Austin, Ark., son of the late Rheuben and Pauline Pounds Woodiel, he was an ordained Southern Baptist minister for 57 years. During this time he served as pastor in churches throughout Missouri and Arkansas.

On June 4, 1954, he married Blanche Elizabeth Reeves who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Woodiel of Fair Grove and Richard Woodiel of Springfield; four daughters, Debi Randall of Overland Park, Kan., Becky Adams of Springfield, Niki Van Dyne of Chadwick and Cathy Booyer of Butler; one brother, Harold L. Woodiel of Wappapello; one sister, Ruth Ann Moffitt of Poplar Bluff; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Cletus Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
