DEXTER -- Sylvia Stickles, 93, died Sept. 19, 2006, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born July 5, 1913, in Dexter, daughter of the late John and Phoebe Harrell Pullum, she had lived all her life in Dexter and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.

On Dec. 2, 1932, near Aid, she married Virgil Stickles who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1970.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, V.A. Stickles in 1993 and Roy Lee Stickles in 2002; two brothers, Junior Pullum and Harold Pullum; and four sisters, Julie Pullum, Ellen Burges, Mae Masterson and Jessie Lewis.

Survivors include: two brothers, Eugene Pullum of St. Charles and Bill Pullum of Romance, Ark.; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter officiated.

Burial followed in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
