Frances Welch
CHALESTON -- Frances Welch, 89, died at 4:10 p.m. June 16, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 5, 1916, in Diehlstadt, daughter of the late Atlas and Colna Stone Summers, she lived in Diehlstadt most of her life, where she was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
On June 18, 1934, she married Claude Welch, who died on Nov. 15, 1971.
One son, Francis Eugene Welch, and two sisters, Kathryn Savage and Linda Ogle also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Shelby Welch of Charleston; one sister, Billie Russell of Charleston; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law; Lee and Rhonda Welch of Charleston and Carl and Jessica Welch of Wyatt; and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-
granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time for servies at 1 p.m. Tuesaday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Wyatt, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery located near Diehlstadt.
Pallbearers will be: Lee Welch, Carl Welch, Christopher Chapman, Branston Branam and Cole Branum.
