Speakout 9/18

Monday, September 18, 2006

To that idiot who thinks that George Bush will go down as the worst president we ever had, they must not be very old. I remember all the way back to Hoover. Jimmy Carter was the worst president to ever sit in the White House. He brought this country to its knees. A third grader could have done that good or better.

To that person who wanted the words to Old Dan Tucker, about the only thing I can remember is that he combed his hair with a wagon wheel and died with a toothache in his heel.

They running ole George down, but I'm telling you what, I've been around a long, long time and he's done a lot for us old folks. He got us a prescription drug program. The Democrats always talked about it but they never did get it done. There's been more new homes built under Bush than any other president. He got it where you can buy a new home without anything down. Interest rates lower than they ever been in history. Ole Carter was in, interest rates was 22 percent. Who could build a house? Poor man especially. Jimmy Carter shut the automobile industry down. We better take a second look and be blessed with what we got because we got the best we ever had.

Mike I agree completely with the people you give credit to for stopping Union Pacific and that is Mike Marshall, Josh Bill and Doug Friend. But, I think there is one more person that deserves a lot of credit. And that person is you. So, I would like to be the first to say Thank you Mike Jensen for providing the free advertisement in the paper for all the people to sign their names and for going with the other men to Washington, D.C. and lending your voice as the editor of the local newspaper in a very strong way in support of their efforts. We're fortunate to have you, Mike. You know who this is. Please print it.

Good afternoon. The temperature is getting right to walk the neighborhood, enjoy the cooler weather, but here on our street in Miner, we have to dodge pit bulls chasing you or drag cars. When did they make a drag strip on Harrison Street? Neighbors complain to the police department, but the kids still drag race, sling rocks out of the driveway. People who want to walk over here, don't bring your kids or your dog. Just warning you. It used to be a good neighborhood.
