BLODGETT - Earl Rice "Junior" Wade, 76, died at 8 a.m. Aug. 3, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 23, 1930, in Luxora, Ark., to the late Rice William and Anna Lucille Reynolds Wade, he had worked at Fabick Equipment Co. for over 44 years. He was a veteran of the Missouri National Guard, where he served as Sgt. 1st Class for over 13 years with the 1140th Engineering Battalion. He had earned expert medal awards for Carbine, Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Machine Gun and Driver. He was a member of Blodgett Church of Christ. He was a longtime proud member of the National Rifle Association.

On Nov. 22, 1957, at Blodgett, he married Anne Turney, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Becky Wade and Aaron and Kelly Wade of Blodgett; one daughter and son-in-law Mary Anne and Ken Harbin of Paducah, Ky.; four sisters, Christine Rice and Molly Evans of Blodgett, Peggi Byrd of Sikeston and Judy Leeming of Mountain View; four grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan Harbin of Paducah and Blake Wade and Katherine Anne Wade of Blodgett.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kelles Wade and Charlie Wade; and one sister, Mary Lucille Wade.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. His nephew, Rusty Rice, minister of Blodgett Church of Christ, Lowell Blasingame, minister of the Church of Christ in Grenada, Miss. and Cloyce Sutton of Blytheville, Ark. will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Program.

Pallbearers will be: Ted Wade, Tom Wade, Mark Wade, Neal Harlow, Jason Byrd, Shawn Byrd, Scott Singletary, David Bachelor and Bill Knoderer.
