EAST PRAIRIE -- Anthony J. "Tony" Schulte, 51, died July 28, 2006, in Palm City, Fla. Born June 11, 1955, in Galena, Ill., son of the late John and Donna Tippett Schulte, he was considered to be one of the most valuable truck drivers for Reliable Transportation of Sikeston. A former member of the East Prairie Lions Club, he never met a stranger, loved to talk and make other people happy...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Anthony J. "Tony" Schulte, 51, died July 28, 2006, in Palm City, Fla.

Born June 11, 1955, in Galena, Ill., son of the late John and Donna Tippett Schulte, he was considered to be one of the most valuable truck drivers for Reliable Transportation of Sikeston. A former member of the East Prairie Lions Club, he never met a stranger, loved to talk and make other people happy.

On June 11, 2004, in Charleston, he married Carin C. Brannum who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Elizabeth Schulte of East Prairie; two brothers, Tim Schulte of Dubuque, Iowa, and Todd Schulte of Murphysboro, Tenn.; one sister, Kietra Blum of Dubuque; his grandmother, Violet Tippett of Stockton, Ill.; his stepmother, Mary Calhoun of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Christy Labernadie of Merced, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Kent Brannum of Modesto, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Linda Brannum of East Prairie; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and several friends.

Infant twin brothers and one sister preceded him in death in addition to his parents.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of memorial services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The Rev. Scott Sunnenberg of St. Henry's Catholic Church will officiate.
