SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Jaycee Little League Football sign ups will be held Aug. 12 and 19 at the YMCA of Southeast Missouri from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants need to bring birth certificate and a $25 registration fee.
All Sikeston youths, ages 11-14 are encouraged to play. An athlete can be no older than 14 by Aug. 4 of their birth year.
Games are played on Saturday mornngs at the Sikeston Recreation Complex. Basic fundamental football skills, formations and tactics are stressed in the league.
The league began in 1974 and has been an integral part in the development of Sikeston's youths in teamwork and competition.
