POPLAR BLUFF -- Brittney Rae Parson and Jeffrey Scott McNiell were united in marriage May 20, 2006, at the First Church of God in Poplar Bluff. Richard Triplet performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Albert and Lisa Parson of Poplar Bluff, and the bridegroom is the son of James and Wilda McNiell of Sikeston.

Music for the occasion was provided by pianist Vicky Gann of Poplar Bluff and vocalists Mark Helton of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Sherri Hinrichs of Poplar Bluff. Musical selections were "Bless The Broken Road" sangby Hinrichs, "Butterfly Kisses" sang by Helton and "When God Made You" sang by Hinrichs and Helton.

The bride was escorted by Ed Armes, grandfather of the bride, and Albert Parson, father of the bride. She was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was LaDona Eason of Poplar Bluff, aunt of the bride. Attendants were Jennifer McNiell of Sikeston, sister of the bridegroom, Kelly McMurray, Shari Southards, Ashley Cochran and Wendy Parson, sister-in-law of the bride, all of Poplar Bluff. Flower girl was Alana Basham of Sikeston, cousin of the bridegroom.

Best man was James McNiell, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Jordan Eason, cousin of the bride, Chris McMurray and Lance Parson, brother of the bride, all of Poplar Bluff; Rus Baer of Columbia; and Derek James of Sikeston. Ringbearer was Cody Eason of Poplar Bluff, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Austin Armes, cousin of the bride, and Josh Cochran, both of Poplar Bluff.

Miniature bride and bridegroom were Adyson Parson, niece of the bride and Trenton Hodge, nephew of the bride, both of Poplar Bluff.

A reception followed at Bluff Falls Waterpark with a Mizzou tailgate party theme. Guests played miniature golf, rode go-carts and took swings in the batting cages.

The new Mrs. McNiell is a 2003 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and is employed at Dr. Donald Jones' office at Northwest Medical Clinic. McNiell is a 2002 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism and is employed at the Daily American Republic.

The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., and will reside in Houston, Mo.
