DEXTER - Common men gathered, prisoners of their memories. Some wore the battle scars on their faces. They are comrades as members of the Missouri Bootheel Chapter of the American Ex-Prisoners of War. "We have a nice visit," said Sikeston's Durwood White, the senior vice commander. "All of them can talk to each other about their different problems." The 27-member group meets every two months on the second Saturday.
