ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Blues announced today that they have teamed up with Peoples National Bank, the official bank of the St. Louis Blues, for the 2008 Blues Caravan. The Caravan will visit nine towns in Illinois, Southeast Missouri and Central Missouri in the month of August.
The Caravan will feature a speech on the state of the team, a 15-minute question and answer session and an autograph session at each of the locations. Giveaways at each spot will include tickets, autographed items along with schedules for the upcoming season and special caravan ticket packages.
The first leg of the trip will stop in Central Missouri on Aug.7 in the towns of Washington and Sullivan. The Caravan will then continue in Missouri on Aug. 8 with a stop in Salem. Blues forwards Cam Janssen and Yan Stastny will be on the first leg of the trip, along with radio play-by-play man Chris Kerber.
The second leg of the trip will take place in Illinois with stops at Peoples National Bank in Belleville and Marion on Aug. 12 and Peoples National Bank in Mt. Vernon on Aug. 13.
The third and final leg of Caravan will be in Southeast Missouri with visits to Sikeston and Perryville on Aug. 14 and Farmington on Aug. 15.
