FRESNO, Calif. -- Jeannette Christine Mendez and Michael Eric Copeland have announced their engagement.
A 2003 graduate of Fresno State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, the future bride is employed as a social worker at the Division of Children and Family Services for Fresno County. She is the daughter of Anita and Ronald Mendez of Fresno.
The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1987 from Richland, Mo., High School and received an associate's degree in education from St. Louis Community College in 1995. He is self-employed as a computer professional in Fresno. He is the son of Claudette Copeland of Morehouse, Mo.
Plans are being finalized for a September wedding in St. Louis.
