SIKESTON -- Paul Edgar McLean, 69, died Aug. 18, 2008, at his home.

Born Aug. 20, 1938, in Newberry, Mich., to the late Truman and Christina Boldale McLean, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had been a self-employed construction worker.

On March 21, 1977, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he married Linda Brewer, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons, John Blair McLean and Paul Edward McLean of Seattle and Robert McLean and Travis McLean of Sikeston; two daughters, Pamela Reed of Anaheim, Calif. and Kimberly Rhodes of Whitewater; four brothers, Truman "Buzzy" McLean, Alfred McLean and Ron McLean of Whitefish Point, Mich. and Bradley McLean of Holland, Mich.; two sisters, Joanne Riley of Grand Haven, Mich. and Gina McLean of Sugar Creek, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

On brother, Thomas McLean, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with the Rev. Ronnie Wallace officiating.
