JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- The dream season for the Sikeston 13-year-old All-Stars ended Friday evening in the semifinals of the 13-year-old Babe Ruth World Series at Diethrick Park in Jamestown, N.Y.

The Southwest Region Champions from Bryant, Ark. outscored the Sikeston squad 13-8 propelling them into the championship game which was played on Saturday against the winner of the California-New York game.

Bryant trailed 6-2 going into the bottom of the second inning, but mounted a six-run rally in the frame to take control of the game at 8-6. Sikeston plated two more runs in the top of the fourth but the Southwest answered right back by crossing four runners in the bottom of the inning to take a 12-8 lead.

Hayden Daniel, Tyler Nelson, Marcus Wilson, Zach Cambron and Blain Jackson each had two hits in a well-balanced Bryant-attack. Nelson, Wilson, Tyler Green and Zach Cambron each had two RBI and Wilson ran wild on the base paths, stealing five bases.

Sikeston was led at the plate by Cord Sheehy, who finished the game 2-for-4 with a double. Josh King had two RBIs with two runs scored. Trey Tigart also had two RBIs.

Zach Cambron earned the win on the mound for Arkansas, pitching four innings and giving up only two runs. Tigart was tagged with the loss for Sikeston.

The Ron Tellefsen Player's of the Game were Cambron and Josh King of Sikeston.
