CLARKTON -- Betty Louise Mitchell, 74, died Aug. 21, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born May 18, 1934, in Williamsville, to the late James Hampton and Addie Hardy Hillis, she was affiliated with the Stanfield Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkton.
On Aug. 22, 1950, at Piggott, Ark., she married Paul Eugene Mitchell who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and a daughter-in-law, Rick Mitchell of Sikeston, Richard Mitchell of Union Grove, N.C., and Paul Mitchell Jr. and Joey and Sue Mitchell of Clarkton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Allen Henson of Clarkton; one brother, Clarence Hillis of Malden; and 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, A.C., John and Bob; and four sisters, Nadine, Mary, Alpha and Ruth.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stanfield Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkton with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
