Let's hear it for Jerry

I would like to speak out about one of Wal-Mart's managers. His name is Jerry Linhart. He is a very good employee of theirs. Anytime I need help he is always there to assist me. I've been a loyal customer to Wal-Mart for a very longtime. I think he is the best manager they have there.

Good politicians

To Mr. Anthony Young, Mr. Jeremy Ruby, Mr. Barry Bennett and Mrs. Terry Adams, all of whom ran in the Aug. 5, New Madrid County election. I was sad to know you lost, but I know for a fact you all worked endlessly trying your best at something you chose to seek. I was overjoyed meeting and learning about you. Also, passing out your cards and signs and letting others know about you was an incredible pleasure. You made me proud as I know you accomplished a lot as running in an election is never an easy task. If it means anything, you made a friend, and I hope our friendship lasts past this election year. I pray for you often. May God's angels watch over you and your families. Danny Landers

Purse returned

I'd like to thank the lady who found the change purse and returned it to the bank. It was mine. The money was still there and my debit card was there. I am so grateful to her because I am a widow. It means a lot to me and I thank God there is somebody in this world that appreciates the other fellow. Thank you very much. May God bless you.

I sew

I want to answer "Sew what." I do alterations. My number is 283-5179 or 703-5560.

Keep them at home

This is for the person that said Cats rule, dogs drool. Well I'd like to tell you something, I don't have anything against any animal unless it's at my house and bugging me. Cats get on my car, they leave prints, they scratch, dogs leave a mess. If you love animals, keep them at home. Don't push them on people that don't want them. God made snakes, too, but you don't want them do you? It don't make any sense that someone would love a cat or dog more than they would a person. And there's a lot of people out there like that. I don't think they should be mistreated, but I don't think they should be forced on us when we don't like them.

Looking for eggs

I would like to buy some farm large, brown eggs.

Hard times

I'll tell you with the high cost of beer, cigarettes and gasoline, I'm just having trouble making ends meet. I'm really having trouble paying my rent and buying groceries. It sure is hard to be hungry.
