Dial-Clayton

PORTAGEVILLE -- Mr. And Mrs. Harold A. Dial have announced the engagement of their daughter, Christina Lynn Dial, to Steven Charles Clayton, son of Mr. And Mrs. Brent Clayton of McComb, Miss.

The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Harold Douglas Dial and the late Mr. And Mrs. Vernon Ellis. She is a graduate of Portageville High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry--pre-med from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. She obtained her medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City. She completed her five-year surgical residency at Midwestern University in Chicago and did Breast Surgical Specialty training in Atlanta before moving to the Jackson, Miss., area. She owns the Breast Care Clinic of Jackson in Flowood, Miss.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. George A. Kretschmer of Farmer City, Ill., the late George A. Kretschmer and the late Mr. And Mrs. C.L. Clayton. He is a graduate of McComb High School and Mississippi State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Nissan North America in Canton, Miss.

The couple will exchange vows Nov. 1 at the First United Methodist Church in Portageville.
